DRM
Vodafone 710 supports "Forward Lock", "Combined
delivery" and "Separated delivery" modes defined in
OMA DRM1.0. Digital rights management (DRM) is
the solution for preventing the digital contents from
piracy and protecting the provider’s interests. Here,
the digital contents include Java applications and the
multimedia contents such as image, audio and video.
By attaching the copyright information, the file con-
tents are protected by DRM. The DRM function con-
trols the usages of these contents on terminals.
The attached copyright information may restrict the
using times, using period and validity period in
accessing the protected contents. If the protected
content cannot be accessed, it indicates that the cor-
responding copyright is overdue or used up. You
need to re-purchase the right for the DRM files in
"Separated delivery" mode.
You can find out the copyright information by viewing
the properties of the DRM files. You can also delete,
switch and update the copyright.
The status of the files supported by the Vodafone 710
are listed as follows. The icon for the files protected
by "Forward lock" is the same as that for common
files.
