3 Accessing the MCU

Issue 10 (2013-07-20)

Huawei Proprietary and Confidential

For smoother operation during the use of the web interface, a computer with the following
specifications is recommended:



CPU: Intel Pentium E2200 2.2 GHz or higher



Memory: 1 GB or more



Operating system: Windows XP or later



Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, or later

3.2 Using the Web Interface

The MCU provides the Web interface, and thus no additional management software is
required for control on the MCU.

3.2.1 Logging In to the Web Interface

Procedure

Step 1

Connect the client computer to the GE0 port of 8650C with a crossover cable, or connect the
client computer and to 8650C to the same switch in the LAN.

Step 2

In the address bar of the browser, enter the IP address of the GE0 network interface of 8650C
(The default IP address is

192.168.2.1

), Press

Enter

. The login page of the Web interface is

displayed, as shown in

Figure 3-1

If you are unable to access the MCU web interface using HTTP, use HTTPS instead.



If a warning is displayed indicating that there is a problem with the website's security certificate,
click

Continue to this website

to continue.

Select a language from the Language drop-down list box. Fill in User Name and Password .
