Messages
Creating Text Messages
Before using the messages service, you need to set the message center number. For more
information, please refer to "Messages/Settings/Text Message Settings" on page 64.
A text message to be sent can contain 160 English letters or 70 Chinese characters at most. If
the characters you entered are more than this limit, the text will be divided into two or more
continuous messages for sending.
1.
In the main menu, select
Messages
>
New SMS
.

In the message editing screen, select
Options
:

You may select one of the input methods to enter the message contents.

Select
Common phrases
to insert a phrase into the SMS.

Select
Insert number
insert a phone number saved on the phone or the USIM card.
3.
Press
to access the
Edit numbers
screen:
z
Enter the phone number, and then select
Options
>
Send
or press
to send the
message.
z
Select
Options
>
Group
or
Contacts
to choose a number and send the message.
z
Select
Options
>
Save
to save the message.
