Configure the VLANs on the switch using methods described in the following sections.

Connecting the Switch and a Computer Through Serial Ports

NOTE

This way is only used for adjustment on Windows XP. If your system is the Windows7, please download
the corresponding software.

Step 1

Connect a serial port of a computer to the serial port of the switch (DB9-RJ45).

Step 2

Use the default settings of the serial port of Windows HyperTerminal.
