4.3 Connecting the RS485 Signal SPD

Prerequisites

The communications cable is prepared. The DJYP2VP2-22 2x2x1 network cable or a
communications cable with a cross sectional area of 1 mm

and outer diameter of 14–18 mm

is recommended.

Context

The way of connecting two RS485 signal SPDs is the same as the way of connecting one RS485 signal
SPD.

One RS485 signal SPD provides two RS485 surge protection ports, as shown in

Figure 4-3
