9.14 GPS Failure

In terms of GNSS functions, MediaPad 7 Lite needs to support the GPS and be compatible
with the GLONNASS. The BCM47511 chip provides an external GPS LNA interface to
increase the GPS reception performance. As shown in the following figure, the
GPS/GLONASS signal received by the GPS antenna is filtered and then amplified by the
LNA. The SAW then sends the amplified signal to the BCM47511 chip for processing.

The following figure shows the principles of GPS reception.
