Overview
The Multi service unit line cards are the multi-service processing boards with Ethernet interfaces on
the ME60-16/8 series. Besides supporting routers and multiple VPN services, the MSUs provide
TRIPLE PLAY terminal management of large capacity, high performance and the function for
dynamic service selection.
The MSUs are compatible with the ME60-16 chassis and the ME60-8 chassis. The MSUs support
various Ethernet interfaces, such as GE/10GE optical interfaces and OC-3/12/48/192 POS optical
interfaces. You can use various SFP/XFP optical modules together with the MSUs based on the
optical transmission distance.
The following figure shows a kind of MSU that is
