The OC-48c/STM-16c POS optical interface board is hot-pluggable. You can install or remove 

interface boards while the NE5000E is powered on, without affecting services of other interface 

boards. Hot-pluggable and plug-and-play SFP optical modules can be used on the 

OC-48c/STM-16c POS optical interface board, achieving a rate of 2.5 Gbps. You can choose 

optical modules with different transmission distances according to networking requirements. 

Specifications 

The NE5000E provides four types of OC-48c/STM-16c POS optical interface boards with different 

port densities. The specifications are listed below:
