Basic CPRI Port Connection Principles

l

The WRFU supports star and chain topologies.

l

The WRFUs can be connected over the CPRI ports with a maximum of two levels of
cascading. The two cascaded WRFUs work in the same sector and the data transmission
rates over the CPRI ports on the two WRFUs are the same.

l

The WRFU cannot be connected to the RRU.

Figure 3-22

shows the CPRI connection principles.

Each CPRI port on the WBBPb/WBBPd corresponds to a sector.

l

The CRPI0 port on the WRFU is connected to the WBBP, and the CPRI1 port is connected
to the lower-level WRFU.
