Disconnects?
Check your phone's Wi-Fi sleep policy.
Your phone provides three Wi-Fi sleep policies:

When screen turns off : disconnect a Wi-Fi connection 15 minutes after your phone's
screen turns off.

Never when plugged in : never disconnect a Wi-Fi connection in charging state.

Never : never disconnect a Wi-Fi connection.
If you do not want your Wi-Fi connection to be disconnected, select Never .

Services When My Phone Is Connected to Both a Wi-Fi
Network and a 3G Network?
Once connected to a Wi-Fi network, your phone uses the Wi-Fi network for data services.
