Resetting the phone through settings
On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and
then tap Security > Factory reset .
Enter “1 ” and then tap Yes .
Resetting the phone using phone buttons
With the phone turned off, press and hold the
VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press
the POWER button shortly and release it.
You will then see a message on the screen warning
you that the operation will delete all your personal
data and reset all settings to manufacturer defaults.
Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN
buttons.
Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard
reset, or press the POWER button to cancel the reset.
16. Troubleshooting tips
Q. What should I do if the phone hangs or is operating
slowly?
You can try restarting your phone or free up
memory on the phone.
Uninstall extra plug-ins from the phone to eliminate
any functional instability that they may cause.
After backing up your data and files, restore the
phone to its factory default settings. From the
Home screen, slide to the Settings tab, tap Security
> Factory reset , and then follow the onscreen
instructions to restore your phone to factory default
settings. If your phone screen stops responding and
you are unable to enter Windows Mobile, perform a
hard reset. For more information about hard reset,
refer to the “Managing Your Phone” chapter in the
User Manual PDF.
