Handling precautions
【加締め】
1. 圧接ユニットにシールドケースおよびシールドシェルを組み込みます。組み込
み方の詳細は、結線手順書を参照してください。

3. ハンドルを握り、加締めを行います。
※ 工具には適正な加圧が行われるまでハンドルが開かない様にラチェット機構が
備わっています。ラチェットが解除されるまでハンドルを握ってください。
※ ラチェットが解除された後も、ハンドルに過度な荷重をかけ続けると工具の破
損などを引き起こす可能性がありますのでラチェット解除後は速やかにハンド
ルを開いてください。
4. コネクタを加締めガイド

から取り出します。
取り出しの際、ガイド等にコネクタを引掛けたりして傷などをつけないようご
注意ください。
5. 加締め状態の確認を行います。
① 加締めハイト
❾
を確認します。 加締めハイト規定は、IX シリーズの結線手
順書を参照してください。
1) 手動工具は、クリンプハイトの微調整が行えません
ので、コネクタの適合電線範囲であっても、ご使用
になる電線が指定電線と異なる場合は、工具に適合
しない場合があります。
2) 適合コネクタ，適合ケーブル以外の物を、絶対に結
線しないでください。
3) 工具を叩いたり、高い所から落とす等の衝撃は、絶
対加えないでください。
4) 工具には適正な加圧が行われるまでハンドルが開か
ないように、ラチェット機構が備わっています。ト
ラブル等により結線作業の途中でハンドルを開く場
合は、ラチェット解除レバーにてラチェットを解除
してください。ラチェット解除レバーを使用しない
で無理に開いたりすると、工具が故障しますので絶
対にしないでください。
5) ラチェットが解除された後もハンドルに過度な荷重
をかけ続けますと、結線工具のガタを引き起こし正
常な圧力が得られなくなる原因になりますのでご注
意ください。
6) 作業を始める時は、結線したコネクタの結線状態が
良品の範囲になっているか確認を行ってください。
7) 本工具には安全カバー等の安全装置は取り付いてい
ません。結線作業に際しては、ハンドル部に指等挟
まないよう安全に十分配慮してご使用ください。
8) 工具には改造等を加えないでください。
9) 工具の使用期間中は、定期的に清掃を行ってくださ
い。
4. 保守と点検 /
Maintenance and inspection
【日常のお手入れについて】
1) 作業が終了した場合は、汚れ，異物等を柔らかい布で
拭き取り、ハンドルを閉じクリンパ，アンビルの中に
異物が入り込まないようにして、乾燥した場所に保管
してください。
【工具の修理について】
1) 不慣れな事故を防ぐため、修理，調整は工具を熟知し
た保全技術者が行ってください。不適切な修理，調整
および非純正部品による事故に対して当社は責任を負
いません。また、修理，調整した結果、正常に動かな
い場合は、直ちに操作を中止してください。
2) 工具に不具合が生じ修理を希望される場合は、解体な
どせずそのままの状態で不具合内容を明示の上、弊社
営業所または代理店へお申し付けください。不具合の
内容によっては修理しかねる場合もありますので、予
めご承知おきください。

Routine maintenance
】
1) Upon completion of work wipe the tool with a soft cloth to remove any stains or
foreign particles, specially in the crimper and anvil areas. Close the handle so that
foreign particles does not enter into the crimper and anvil. Store in the dry place.

Repair of the tools
】
1) To prevent possible accidents caused by unfamiliarity with the operation of the
machine, repair and adjustment of the machine shall be conducted only by main-
tenance personnel who have a full knowledge of the machine. Any repair and
adjustment beyond the range covered by the instructions given in this Instruc-
tion Manual is prohibited. We assume no responsibility for accidents caused by
improper repair or adjustment or the use of non-genuine part(s). Also, if it does
not work normally a result of repair and adjustment, please stop the operation
immediately.
2) Contact the place of purchase or nearest HRS representative. Describe exact
nature of the problem. Do not diss-assembly the tool. If instructed, ship the tool
in a secure package, with a written description of the problem. HRS does not sell
individual components for the tools. Depending on it’s condition in some cases
the tool may NOT be repairable.

The tools can not be adjusted for crimp height
or configuration. Only specified wire size,
construction and type must be used with the
applicable connector and tool.

Do not connect other than the applicable
connector or wire.

)
Do not subject the tool to physical impact or
drop.

)
Handle will release after completion of the full
compression. If you want to open the handle
during the connection operation because of
trouble etc., release the ratchet by ratchet
release lever. Do not attempt to release the
handle rather than using the ratchet release
lever as this may damage the tool.

)
When an excessive load continues to be
applied on the handle even after the ratchet
is released, it causes the tool to be loose and
then a normal pressure not to be acquired. So,
be careful.

)
Assure that the connect condition after the
termination with the wire is within specification.
7
)
Be sure to use the tool as instructed so that
your fingers nor part of clothing is caught in the
tool during connection operation.

)
Modification to this tool is prohibited.
9
)
Periodically clean the tool as long as it is com-
missioned.

Swaging
】
1
)
Incorporate a shield case and a shield shell into the crimping unit. For details of an incorporating method, refer to the connection procedure
manual.

Set a connector on the swaging guide

, set it so that the key

of the joint may
face to the top, and press it tightly so that the end of connectors may touch the swaging guide

Hold thee handle and perform the swaging.

A ratchet mechanism is equipped with the tool so that the handle may not open until adequate pressure is applied on the tool. Hold the han-
dle until the ratchet is released.
*
When an excessive load continues to be applied on the handle even after the ratchet is released, there is a possibility of causing the tool to
be damaged and so on. So, open the handle immediately after the ratchet is released.

Take the connector out of the swaging guide

. When taking it out, be careful not to damage it by hooking the connector on the guide and
the like.

Check the swaging state.
