6.4 DMX Configuration
To set the device in DMX mode:
1. Connect a DMX cable to the DMX input of the fog/smoke machine and the DMX output of a
controller (not included).
2. Prepare your device (see above).
3. Set your DMX address using the DIP switches.

Make sure that the starting address of the interconnected devices do not overlap.

A DMX terminator is recommended for installations where the DMX cable has to run a
long distance or is in an electrically noisy environment (e.g. discos). The terminator
prevents corruption of the digital control signal by electrical noise. The DMX
terminator is simply an XLR plug with a 120 Ω resistor between pins 2 and 3, which is
then plugged into the XLR output socket of the last device in the chain.
