Remove all screws from the system board.

Remove the system board.
15.
Install the new system board.
16.
Install the components in the reverse order of removal.
17.
Install the server into the chassis.
18.
Press the Power On/Standby button.
The server exits standby mode and applies full power to the system. The system power LED changes
from amber, to flashing green, and then to green.
19.
Re-enter the server serial number and product ID (

After you replace the system board, the server serial number and the product ID must be configured:

Access System Utilities. During POST, press
F9
.
2.
On the System Utilities home screen, select
System Configuration
>
BIOS/Platform Configuration
(RBSU)
>
Advanced Options
>
Advanced Service Options
.
3.
Select the Serial Number field and press
Enter
.
The following alert appears:
The serial number is modified by qualified service personnel and must match
the serial number located on the chassis.
4.
Click
OK
.
5.
Type the serial number and press
Enter
.
6.
Select the Product ID field and press
Enter
.
