Hot-swappable power supply failure
The HPE 5130 24G SFP 4SFP+ EI switch uses hot-swappable power supplies. You can determine
the power supply operating status by examining the power supply LEDs PWR1 and PWR2 on the
switch front panel. For descriptions about the PWR1 and PWR2 LEDs, see "
Symptom
The LED indicates that a power supply failure has occurred.
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1.
Verify that the power supply model is as required.
2.
Verify that the power supply is installed correctly in the switch.
3.
Verify that the switch is operating in the acceptable temperature range.
4.
If the problem persists, contact Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support.
Configuration terminal problems
No display on the configuration terminal
Symptom
The configuration terminal does not display any information when the switch is powered on.
Solution
To resolve the problem:
1.
Verify that the power system is operating correctly.
2.
Verify that the switch is operating correctly.
3.
Verify that the console cable has been connected correctly.
4.
Verify that the following settings are configured for the terminal:

Data bits
—8.
{
Parity
—None.
{
Stop bits
—1.
{
Flow control
—None.
5.
Verify that the console cable is not faulty.
6.
If the problem persists, contact Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support.
Garbled display on the configuration terminal
