Installing and Configuring the Switch

2

CAUTION

For proper airflow, the SFP media side of the FC Entry Switch 8B or FC Switch 8B 

faces the rear of the rack. This mounting allows air to enter the front of the rack through the plenum 
and to exhaust at the rear of the rack, similar to other rack-mounted equipment. This prevents 
switch overheating that may cause it to fail.
