Manually Removing a Cartridge

SDLT Tape Drives Reference Guide

Removing the Left Guide

To remove the left guide:

1. Remove the two T8 Torx screws

(see

Figure 10

2. Pull the sheet metal panel

towards the front of the drive so that the left

guide

may be lifted upward.

The left guide has a flex circuit attached which goes below the tape deck. Lay the
left guide

flat (as shown in

Figure 10

), leaving the cartridge in the drive.
