Web Tools Version 3.1.x/4.1.x User Guide

Using the View Menu

The View menu is used to select the type of zoning and to refresh the zoning 
database as shown in the following sections.

Select a Zoning Method

The zoning method you choose determines how members are displayed in the 
various member selection windows. It also determines whether you are using 
Hard zoning or Soft zoning.

1. Access the Zone Administration window.

See “

Accessing the Zone Administration Window

” on page 204 for more 

information.

2. Select the View drop-down menu. 

3. Select one of the following: 

— Mixed  Zoning

— Port Zoning

— WWN Zoning 

— AL_PA Zoning 

The zoning method you choose determines how members are displayed in the 
various member selection windows. See “

Zoning Methods

” on page 202 for 

more information.

Refresh Zoning

To refresh the zoning database, perform the following steps.

1. Access the Zone Administration window.

See “

Accessing the Zone Administration Window

” on page 204 for more 

information.

2. Select View > Refresh Zoning. This refreshes the Zoning Database. Any 

unsaved zoning changes are deleted. The current Zoning database can be 
viewed from the Zone Configuration Summary window. See “

Using the File

” on page 206 for more information.
