The server exits standby mode and applies full power to the system. The system power LED changes
from amber to green.
Install the PCI riser board assembly
1.
Connect all cables to existing expansion boards.
2.
Align the PCI riser board with the corresponding connector on the system board, and then press down
the riser cage.
3.
Using a T-10 Torx screwdriver, install the PCI riser board assembly.

Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
6.
Press the Power On/Standby button.
The server exits standby mode and applies full power to the system. The system power LED changes
from amber to green.
Install the server
CAUTION:
To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the chassis unless
all bays are populated with a component or a blank.
When installing servers in the chassis, observe the following guidelines to ensure proper air flow:
•
Always populate the enclosure from right to left, beginning with bay 10.
•
Operate servers only when the open side of the server is enclosed by either another server, a divider,
or the chassis wall.
