Storage Devices
This section covers removal and replacement procedures for the storage devices
supported by the server.
Refer to Chapter 1, “Server Features,” for the location and dimensions of the server
drive bays, before installing a device.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to equipment or loss of information, be sure that the
server is powered down, all cables are disconnected from the back of the server, and
the power cord is disconnected from the grounded (earthed) AC outlet before
removing the front bezel or access panel.
IMPORTANT: When you add or remove a component or change a security feature, you must
reconfigure the server to recognize these changes. If the system configuration is incorrect, the
server will not work properly and you may receive error messages on the screen.
