Before removing the battery, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 34

).

2.

Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (

Battery Safe mode on page 34

).

3.

Remove the bottom cover (

Bottom cover on page 36

).

Remove the battery:

1.

Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.

2.

Lift the top (connector side) of the battery up to an approximate 45° angle (2), and then remove the 
battery from the computer (3).

Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
