LED Indicators
The HP NC6170 Gigabit Server Adapter LED indicators operate as described in the
following table.

Status
Description
On
Link to the adapter is established. The adapter is receiving power
and the cable connection is secure.
Off
No link to the adapter is established. The adapter is not receiving
power or the cable connection is faulty.
ACT/LINK
Flashing
The adapter is receiving direct packets or broadcast packets for
this specific adapter. When sending packets, the ACT light is also
active due to network acknowledgements received.
