Remote Insight Board
The HP Remote Insight board is a PCI-based expansion board that contains a built-in
processor and fully supports keyboard, mouse, and PCI video functions. With a
Remote Insight board installed in the ProLiant ML530 Generation 2 server, you can
use a standard web browser and Insight Manager to access and remotely manage your
server from any console on the network, regardless of the state of the host operating
system.
The ProLiant ML530 Generation 2 server supports the following Remote Insight
boards:

Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition (16-pin connector)
•
Remote Insight Lights-Out Pro (30-pin connector)

To install a Remote Insight board:
IMPORTANT:
Due to cabling requirements, HP recommends that you install the Remote
Insight board in slot 7.

Identify slot 7, the recommended slot for the Remote Insight board.
