PCI Hot Plug Utilities
In partnerships with Microsoft, Novell, and Caldera, HP has developed software
support implementations for each operating system. HP is promoting standardization
with operating system software leaders to ensure the broad availability of PCI Hot
Plug technology. Each operating system supplier is responsible for its own
implementation of the software.

Microsoft Windows NT® operating system
The PCI Hot Plug Utility for Windows NT is the graphical interface for
management of PCI Hot Plug functions. See the “PCI Hot Plug Utility for
Windows NT” section in this chapter.

Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system
Windows 2000 contains native support for PCI Hot Plug functionality and
monitoring. For more information, refer to the documentation that ships with the
operating system.

Novell NetWare operating system
The Novell NetWare Configuration Manager Console is the user interface for
management of PCI Hot Plug functions. See the “Novell NetWare Configuration
Manager Console” section in this chapter.

Caldera UnixWare operating system
The Caldera Admin Manager, part of the UnixWare operating system, contains
native support for PCI Hot Plug functionality and monitoring. For more
information, refer to the documentation that ships with the operating system.
