Controls and Indicators
This chapter describes the controls, ports, and indicators on the front and rear of the HP
ProLiant ML150 server.

Front LED Indicators

Control/Indicator Description
Power On/Off Switch
The power switch turns the HP server power On or Off. If sleep
states are available, it also transitions between Power On and
sleep states. Sleep states are NOS dependent and only available
if your NOS supports power management based on the ACPI
(Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) standard. Refer to
“Applying Power to the HP Server” and “Sleep States (ACPI)”
later in this chapter.
Power LED
•
Steady green
indicates the server is operating normally.
•
Off
(unlit) indicates the server is powered off or in standby
mode.
Disk Activity LED
•
Flashing amber
indicates SCSI disk drive activity.
•
Off
(unlit) indicates inactive operation.
LAN Link LED
•
Flashing green
indicates a valid 100/1000 Mbps LAN link.
•
Off
(unlit) indicates the server is not connected to LAN.
