Troubleshooting
Browser does not display the web interface
Possible Cause:
•
The web interface does not support Internet Explorer 8.0 on Windows 2008 Release 2.
•
The remote access settings are not configured.
•
The browser is connecting to the wrong URL.
Action:
1.
On the Remote Access tab (on page 58 ):
a.
Be sure that the web connection is enabled.
b.
Be sure that the port number is correct. The default port number is 80 for HTTP and 443 for
HTTPS.
2.
On the Network screen (" Network menu " on page 51 ), verify that you are using the correct IP
address.
3.
If HTTP is configured, browse to http:// xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx / port.
-or-
If HTTPS is configured, browse to
https:// xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx / port.
Browser incorrectly displays English or Japanese
characters
Possible Cause: Another user with different language settings logs in to the web interface.
Action: Log out of the web interface, close the browser window, and then sign in to the web interface
again.
Browsing becomes very slow after an alarm is
triggered
Action: Be sure a valid email server is configured on the Email Setup tab (on page 56 ).
Browsing becomes very slow or stops responding
when accessed by multiple Firefox sessions
Action: This is a known issue. No action is required.
