NOTE:

When you lift the top cover, the keyboard cable and the touchpad cable are connected to the

system board. Be sure not to pull the cables loose when lifting the top cover.

Disconnect the touchpad cable (2), the keyboard cable (3), and the backlight cable (4) from the system
board, and then remove the top cover from the computer (5).

Reverse this procedure to install the top cover.
