8. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector

to which

the keyboard cable is connected and disconnect the
keyboard cable

from the system board.

Step 9 applies to models with keyboards with pointing sticks.

9. Release the ZIF connector

to which the pointing stick

cable is connected and disconnect the pointing stick cable

from the system board.

Disconnecting the Keyboard and Pointing Stick Cables

10. Remove the keyboard.

Reverse the above procedure to install the keyboard.
