Customizing your HP Jornada

Turn off sounds.

Use the HP Jornada settings applica-

tion to mute the HP Jornada speaker, or use the Sound
& Volume control panel to turn on only the most neces-
sary system sounds.

Set the screen to dim automatically after a short
time.

Use the Power control panel to set the auto-

dimming feature.

Connect to AC power when using an external
monitor.

Using an external monitor consumes

considerable power and can drain your battery.

Avoid using PC Cards while on battery power.
