Rotation of Labels
Rotated IOC(ltio"lj of
Default PI and 1><1
(A/A4
PClper)
pressing the
Pl
pushbutton. This turns off the indicator and establishes the
new PI position, allowing the pen cursor push buttons to be used without
affecting PI.
NOTE:
Always exit the PI positioning function to prevent accidental
repositioning of PI
. •
The position of P2 is automatically moved when PI is moved so that the
vertical and horizontal distances between PI and P2 remain constant.
Therefore, if you want to position both PI and P2, always move PI first. (If
moving Pl pushes P2 against any of the hard-clip limits, either or both
coordinates of P2 are set to those of the hard clip-limits.)
Using the rotate function (described under "Rotating the Recording Area"
in Chapter 3) to rotate recording areas also rotates the orientation of
printed labels. This is done so that all labels are printed upright
in
relation
to the recording area's X-axis. Label rotation is the result of a change in the
default positions of PI and P2. The roll owing illustrations show the rotated
locations of PI and P2.
