Rebooting the System

Reboot a System with a Single Controller

Enter the CLI

reload

command in privileged EXEC mode. The system prompts for you to verify the

reload. If you had not already saved configuration changes, and the system detects the changes, it
prompts you to save. If you enter yes, the new configuration is stored in

startup-config

. You may

optionally save the configuration to an alternate file by entering the file name, followed by a
carriage-return.

Example

The system re-initializes itself and then loads the system-image and the startup-config file. Wait a few
minutes and attempt to log onto the chassis.
