Drive cage

Before removing the drive cage, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for disassembly on page 16

).

2.

Remove the access panel (

Access panel on page 17

).

3.

Remove the optical drive (

Optical drive on page 17

).

Remove the drive cage:

1.

Remove the four Torx screws that secure the drive cage to the computer chassis (1).

2.

From the computer rear panel, slide the drive cage toward you (2).

3.

Swing the rear edge of the drive cage (3) up and away from you until it releases from the computer chassis.

4.

Remove the drive cage (4).

To install the drive cage, reverse the removal procedures.
