1.

Detach the black tape (1) that secures the top edge of the touchpad to the top cover.

2.

Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the touchpad cable is connected, and then disconnect the touchpad
cable from the system board.

3.

Detach the touchpad cable (3) from the top cover. (The touchpad cable is attached to the top cover with
double-sided adhesive.)

4.

Remove the three Phillips M1.5 × 2.3 screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the top cover.

5.

Release the touchpad (5) by swinging the top edge up and toward the front of the top cover.

6.

Remove the touchpad (6) by sliding it up and away from the front of the top cover.

Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
