Using the appliance
Refrigerator temperature
The factory-set ideal temperature is +5¡C. To change
the temperature, press the
uttons until reaching
the required value that it will be displayed.
Fast cooling (refrigerator compartment)
This function is used to speed up the cooling process
for fresh foods. It can be activated by pressing the
: button: the light comes on. The function is
automatically deactivated after 6 hours, or manually by
pressing again the button.
Vacation
This function deactivates the refrigerator compartment
if the user is going away for sometime. This function
can be activated or deactivated by pressing the
:
button: the relevant symbol will come on and the
displayed temperature of the refrigerator compartment
will be replaced by a dot. After activating the function,
remove perishable food from the refrigerator
compartment and keep the door closed, since the
refrigerator maintains an adequate temperature for
preventing the formation of odours.
ALARMS
In the event of an alarm, the acoustic alarm and
indicator lights are activated.
Important:
To disable the acoustic signal, press the
button .
Freezer compartment alarm
An acoustic signal sounds and the
alarm light
flashes, the temperature on the freezer display are
replaced with two hyphens. The alarm is activated
when:
• the appliance is connected to the power supply after
prolonged disuse.
• the freezer compartment temperature is inadequate.
• the quantity of food to be frozen inside the
compartment is such that it will cause a temporary
increase of temperature.
• the freezer door has been left open for a long time.
Black-out alarm
The alarm black-out activates when a prolonged
interruption of the power supply has caused an
increase in temperature in the freezer compartment.
The freezer display will flash, showing the maximum
temperature reached in the compartment during the
interruption. At the same time both the alarm light
and the acoustic alarm will come on.
Important
: Before consuming any food from the
compartment ensure that this is still suitable for
consumption.
Door open alarm
The refrigerator/freezer door symbol light/s and
the acoustic alarm will come on when one or both of the
appliance's doors have been left open for more than 2 minutes.
Operation alarm
The activation of the acoustic alarm and the
appearance of a letter code on the display indicates a
problem with the appliance. If this happens, call
customer service. You will be asked to provide the
letter code shown on the display instead of the
temperature.
