IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these instructions thoroughly before using the product.
1.
This Salt & Pepper Mill is intended for household use only.
2.
This Salt & Pepper Mill is intended to dispense coarse salt and peppercorns.
3.
DO NOT place the appliance near an open flame, cooking or heating appliance, or hot surface.
4.
DO NOT immerse in water or any other liquid.
5.
This appliance contains batteries. Do not dispose of the product on a fire as this may cause an explosion.
6.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.

Battery Warnings:

Do not mix new and used alkaline batteries. Replace all at the same time.

Do not use standard (carbon-zinc), lithium or rechargeable (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries.

Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.

Used batteries must be removed immediately and must be recycled or disposed of properly, according to
the local regulations.

The terminals must not be short-circuited.

Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.

Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity.

Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow them. If batteries are swallowed
consult a physician immediately.

Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may leak or explode.
INSTALLING / REPLACING BATTERIES
•
Locate the lock
±
and unlock
²
symbols on the transparent part of the unit.
•
Grip the unit above and below the transparent part and twist the top counter-clockwise so that the indicator
spot
moves from the lock
±
to the unlock
²
position.
•
Remove the stainless steel top to reveal the battery compartment.
•
Insert 6 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) into the slots, ensuring that the + and – ends of the batteries
coincide with the + and - indicators in the battery compartment.
•
Replace the top onto the unit by aligning the indicator spot
with the unlock
²
symbol and twist the top
clockwise to the lock
±
symbol so that the top clicks shut.
