1 - PRESENTATION:
HORMIX
concrete mixers have been conceived to fully execute the hardest jobs under the worst conditions. Its design has been studied and the
materials that intervene in its manufacture chosen; in order to obtain a robust and swift set of modern conception.
It’s perfectly balanced transmission and rotation mechanisms as well as the double effect mixers surpass conventional productivity. Our goal is
to improve and make the work of the machines that we produce more efficient. For this reason we reserve the right to vary its mechanisms,
forms etc. HORMIX concrete mixers have the
CE
marking fulfilling the norms in force according to the
CATIM
report.
2 — GENERAL SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS
When using this equipment be sure to follow the regulations applied in order to reduce the risk
inherent to its usage.
-» Read this Instruction Manual intently.
-» Only use the machine according to the instructions in this manual
-» The operator should be fully trained and qualified to operate this machine.
-» The operator should wear close-fitting clothing; hair tied and should be familiar with the functioning of the machine.
-» Always keep the work zone clean, free of objects and with the necessary illumination.
-» It is forbidden to remove or alter any security device. If any alteration is verified, HORMIX declines any responsibility in eventual damages to
people or objects.
-» Any electronic work should be done by qualified personnel only.
-» Perform the maintenance recommended in this manual and respect its regularity.
-» When cleaning or performing maintenance on the machine; disconnect it from the power supply.
-» Never operate the machine under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that might influence physical capacity.

4 – STORAGE / MOVEMENT AND TRANSPORT INSTRUCTIONS

concrete mixers have the possibility to be stored overlapped, for this they are equipped with a rabbet device of the axle of the
superior concrete mixer in the back support of the inferior concrete mixer. The setting is made with a screw and a nut that fastens the superior
concrete mixers’ foot base to the inferior concrete mixer.
NB – The overlapping should not exceed more than two concrete mixers.
-» The movement of the concrete mixer is made by the rear wheels, having to raise the front support. The concrete mixer has a handle in the
front support to facilitate the movement.
NB – Overlapped concrete mixers should not be moved.
-» The transport of concrete mixers should be done with the concrete mixer in the normal position of functioning.
5 – STARTING-UP INSTRUCTIONS
5.1 – Starting-up
-» Install the concrete mixer in a flat zone with sufficient space to make its load and unload.
-» To connect this machine to electricity it is obligatory to:
The energy plug be compatible with the machine connection
The cable used must have three conductors (Phase, Neutral and Land) with a minimum section of 2.5 mm

The net tension should be 230V 50Hz
Have protection against short-circuits of 10A installed in the machines’ supply board. It should also exist a differential protection,
which caliber must be defined by the technician responsible for installation.

Always keep the engine lid open whilst in function.
5.2 – Use

st
- Start the concrete mixer by turning the switch on.

nd
- Tilt the drum to the desired angle (this movement is done by pressing the nailing pedal and turning the wheel).

rd
- Full the drum with the components to manufacture concrete in the following order:
½ of the water
½ of the sand
All the cement
Remaining sand
Remaining water
Additives
4
th
- Once the concrete is done, tilt the drum in order to pour the mortar.
5
th
- Turn the switch off once the concrete has been made.
