Binding
Binding is the process of
programming the receiver/ESC
to recognize the GUID (Globally
Unique Identifier) code of a
single specific transmitter. The
transmitter and receiver/ESC
are bound at the factory. If you need to rebind, follow the
instructions below.
1.
Insert the Bind Plug in the BIND port of the receiver.
2.
Connect a fully charged battery to the receiver.
3.
Power on the receiver/ESC. The red LED flashes,
indicating the receiver is in bind mode.
4.
Center the
ST TRIM
and
TH TRIM
dials on the
transmitter.
5.
Power on the transmitter.
6.
When the receiver stops flashing the binding process
is complete. Remove the bind plug and power down
the receiver to save the settings.
7.
Remove the Bind Plug, then power OFF the receiver
to save the settings.
8.
Power OFF the transmitter.
You must rebind when:
• When you want different failsafe positions (e.g. when
throttle or steering reverse has been changed).
• Binding the receiver to a different transmitter.
NOTICE:
Do not attempt to bind the transmitter and
receiver/ESC if there are other compatible transmitters
in bind mode within 400 feet. Doing so may result in
unexpected binding.
Failsafe
In the unlikely event that the radio connection is lost
during use, the receiver will drive the servos to their pre-
programmed failsafe positions (normally no throttle and
straight steering).
If the receiver is powered on before powering on the
transmitter, the receiver enters Failsafe mode. When the
transmitter is powered on, normal control is resumed.
IMPORTANT
: Failsafe activates only in the event
that signal is lost from the transmitter. Failsafe will
NOT activate in the event that receiver battery power
decreases below the recommended minimums or
power to the receiver is lost.
1.
Loosen the thumbscrew on the boat bow.
2.
Slide the cross member through the large hole, on
the front of the boat, making sure to center the cross
member. Then, tighten the thumbscrew to secure the
cross member.
3.
Slide a retrieval arm over the side of the cross mem-
ber, taking into consideration the size of the boat you
need to retrieve. Repeat this step on the other side.
Tip:
Keep equal spacing on each side to provide bal-
ance.
4.
The retrieval arms will pivot when they are not in the
water. This allows the retrieval arms to float on the
water, ensuring greater retrieval success.
Retrieval Arms
Use the existing mount to install the water cannon pump
into the hull.
1.
Remove the water inlet cap from the water pickup
silicone tube.
2.
Place the water pump and bracket into the hull, lining
up the two screw holes inside with the motor facing
forward.
3.
Tighten the two screws that hold the water pump in
place, and install the rear facing silicone line to the
water pickup.
4.
Plug the long main cabin waterline into the outlet on
the left side of the pump.
5.
Attach the water pump controller to the side of the
ballast box using the included double-sided foam tape.
6.
Plug the controller servo wire into the 2-in-1 receiver/
ESC third channel port.
7.
Install the Y power harness into the ESC power wires.
This powers the boat and water pump from your
selected battery.
To operate the water pump, press the CH 3 button on
the transmitter.
The pump shuts off when you release the button.
