Experiment #6 – Electrolysis Using a Wind
Turbine
Purpose:
This experiment uses a unique wind turbine called the
WindCharge
tm
as the power source to
electrolyze water. This wind turbine is unique in that it is really a miniature model of the type of
wind turbines that dot our landscape making clean, non-polluting energy. It uses the same 3-
phase alternator technology used in commercial turbines. While not as powerful as a battery or
solar panel as a power source, the wind turbine demonstrates yet another means for generating
non-polluting power.
