2.3.2. Control creation
Introduction
A new lot of control blood can be created by two different ways:

Importation of control information from USB key: See Control importation, page 5-5 .
◆
Creation with the " Control Modification " screen: See Control creation, page 5-6 .
Control importation
The control file imported from USB key contains control lot number, name, expiration date and target
values.
1- First import control file on a USB key (See Control file downloading, page 5-6 ).
2- Press " Quality control menu " button to access the " Quality control " menu.
3- In the " QC " tab, select an empty frame where no control has been created by pressing the
corresponding radio button located on the top right corner of the frame.

If no frame is available, a place will be freed up when a control will be closed manually (See 2.3.3.
Control closing, page 5-8 ).
4- The selected frame is highlighted, press " Import QC " button ( Diag.5-3 ).

The following message is displayed: " Please insert your USB key into the front slot of the
instrument. Select
'
OK
'
to continue QC controls targets import. "
5- Insert USB key in the front slot of the instrument, then press " OK " button.
6- In the " QC Name " list, select the control lot to import then press " Import QC " button.

When importation is complete, control information is displayed in the " Control Modification "
screen.
7- Check the control information.
8- " InterQC timelimit " is not imported from USB key. By default is 24 hours. See Control setting,
page 5-7 to modify it.
9- Press " OK " button.
10- Check the control target values by pressing the " Targets " button ( Diag.5-6 ). If needed modify
them (See Entering control target values, page 5-7 ).
11- Press " Back " button twice to return to the " QC " tab.

Control files must have the following name format: " qctgetxxxxx.csv ".
◆
The instrument takes the first file with this name format on the USB key. To
guarantee that only the required file will be used, it is recommended to
leave only one control file on the key.
Never remove the USB key from the front slot before the progress indication
window closes.
