Temperature regulation
This refrigerator has two separate temperature controls, one in the freezer and one
in the fridge compartment, so you can adjust the temperature in each compartment
separately according to the food stored.
First Use
The first time you turn the unit on, set the temperature controls to SUMMER
(freezer) and COLDEST (fridge) for 2–3 hours before loading the compartments.
When the temperature has been reached and the thermostat starts cycling off
and on, adjust the temperature to the settings that best suit your needs and
place food in the compartments.
• Refrigerator:
To adjust the fridge temperature,
turn the refrigerator temperature control dial
clockwise towards COLDEST to lower the
temperature and anticlockwise towards COLD
to increase the temperature inside the fridge
compartment (Fig. 5).
A middle setting on COLDER should be
appropriate for normal usage.
• Freezer:
To adjust the freezer temperature,
turn the freezer temperature control dial
anticlockwise towards SUMMER to lower the
temperature (recommended for hot months)
and clockwise towards WINTER to increase the
temperature (recommended for cold months)
(Fig. 6).
A middle setting on NORMAL should be
appropriate for normal usage.
• When making ice cubes, or after you have
added larger quantities of unfrozen food, set
the control temporarily to SUMMER for fast
freezing.

NOTE:
• The appliance may not operate at the set
temperature on particularly hot days, or if it is
located in a particularly hot area, or if the door
is opened too frequently.
• On hot summer days, when ambient temperatures are high and the thermostat is
set to a colder setting, the compressor may run continuously to maintain the low
temperatures in the compartments.
