The HRDVS has been designed to combine the functionality of a digital recorder and a
multiplexer in one box. This allows you to eliminate the cost of an external multiplexer and
its potential maintenance. Therefore, a camera switch pulse typically used to synchronize
an external multiplexer with the digital recorder has not been built into the HRDVS.
Honeywell does not support or recommend that you connect an external multiplexer
because images may be missed or displayed too long, depending on the dwell time set in
the multiplexer or the HRDVS (
