Warnings
•
Installation and servicing should be performed only by qualified and experienced
technicians to conform to all local codes and to maintain your warranty.
•
The use of CSA Certified/UL Listed Class 2 power adapters is required to ensure
compliance with electrical safety standards.
Power Supply
This dome camera can operate on 24 V AC or 12 V DC.
UTP Video and Power
Using Same CAT5 Cable
UTP video and power may share the same Category 5 cable
subject to the following conditions:
•
UTP video shall use a single pair within the CAT5 cable.
•
Power can utilize one or more of the remaining pairs as
long as the power is always fed using twisted cable pairs in
a differential mode.
•
On long runs, crosstalk between 24 V AC power and video
may appear in the video. This can be eliminated by using a
DC power source.
•
Voltage drop in the power feed will limit the maximum
length of a combined UTP and power configuration to
approximately 328 ft (100 m).
Operating Conditions
Avoid viewing bright objects (for example, light fixtures) for
extended periods.
Avoid operating or storing the unit in the following locations:
•
Extremely humid, dusty, hot, or cold environments where
the operating temperature is outside these recommended
ranges, with the heater on:

−
40°C
to 55°C]
• HD4UH(X):
