If the respirator is not fitted with an exhalation valve exhale sharply. A positive pressure
should be felt inside the respirator.

If the respirator is fitted with an exhalation valve, inhale sharply. A negative pressure should
be felt inside the respirator.
4.
If you detect air leaking in readjust the respirator by:
a.
applying additional pressure on the nose clip to assure a secure seal on the nose;
b.
adjusting the position of the respirator on your face; and/or
c.
adjusting the position of the head straps.

If you cannot achieve satisfactory fit, do
NOT
enter the contaminated area. See your Supervisor.
