VOC Carbon Filter for CO Sensor
When using a 4R+ CO (carbon monoxide) sensor in an environment with VOCs, it is
recommended to use a carbon filter (P/N: W01-3019-000) on the sensor to absorb excess VOCs.
This minimizes sensor “overshoot.” Replace the filter periodically for best performance.
1.
Remove the four screws holding the gas plate in place. (Refer to See
"Removing/Cleaning/Replacing Sensor Modules" on page
details.)
2.
Remove the gas plate.
3.
Place the filter over the CO sensor, with the filter’s fabric side facing up.
4.
Replace the gas plate. (Refer to See "Battery Removal/Replacement" on page
more information. for details.)
5.
Tighten the four screws.
6.
Start the AreaRAE Plus/Pro.
7.
Recalibrate the CO sensor.
