4.Check the throttle cable free play

1.Move the choke lever to the

CLOSED (upwards) position.

2.Loosen the screw and remove

the air cleaner cover from the air

cleaner body.

3.Check the throttle cable free play at the tip of the cable by pulling

and releasing the throttle trigger a few times. It should be 0.5–2.5

mm at the tip of the throttle cable.

If the free play is not as specified above, adjust the free play (see

page 56).

4.Check the throttle trigger operates

smoothly and always spring back to

the idle position.

5.Reinstall the air cleaner cover and

tighten the screw securely.
