CAUTION:
•
Limit operation requiring maximum power (See page 40) to 30 minutes.
For continuous operation, do not exceed the rated power (See page 40).
In either case, the total wattage of all appliances connected must be
considered.
• Most appliance motors require more than their rated wattage for startup.
• Do not exceed the current limit specified for any one receptacle.
• Do not connect the generator to a household circuit. This could cause
damage to the generator or to electrical appliances in the house.
• When an extension cable is required, be sure to use a tough rubber
sheathed flexible cable (IEC 245 or equivalent).
• Limit length of extension cables; 60 m for cables of 1.5 mm 2 and
100 m for cables of 2.5 mm

• Keep the generator away from other electric cables or wires such as
commercial power supply lines.
AC Applications
Make sure all appliances are in good working order before connecting them
to the generator. If an appliance begins to operate abnormally, becomes
sluggish, or stops suddenly, turn it off immediately. Disconnect the
appliance, and determine whether the problem is due to an appliance
problem, or generator overloading.
CAUTION: Be sure that appliances do not exceed the generator’s rated
load capacity for more than 30 minutes and that they never exceed the
maximum load capacity. Substantial overloading will switch off the circuit
protector or breaker. Marginal overloading may not switch off the circuit
protector or breaker, but it will shorten the service life of the generator.
NOTE:
•
Most appliance and power tool motors require more than the rated
operating current for start-up. To match appliance power needs to
generator capability, allow enough generator power reserve to
accommodate motor start-up requirements.
• An overload will trip (switch off) the circuit protector or breaker. If this
happens, reduce the electrical load on the circuit. Wait a few minutes
before resetting the circuit protector or breaker.
