JUMP-STARTING PROCEDURES:
The battery is located under the hood near the center of the
bulkhead under a protective plastic cover.
Follow the jump-starting procedures listed below:
•
Follow all normal jump-starting precautions as out-
lined in the AAA/CAA Towing & Service Manual
and the owner’s manual.
•
Secure the vehicle.
•
Ensure the Start/Stop button and all electrical ac-
cessories are turned OFF and the electronic key is
removed from the vehicle before connecting jumper
cables or a jumper box to the discharged vehicle.
•
Remove the plastic protective battery cover
(shown in figure 1).
•
Slide the positive (+) terminal cover to the left and
connect the positive (+) connection to the positive
battery terminal (shown in figure 2).
•
Connect the ground (-) connection to the dedicated
bolt on the frame (shown in figure 3).
•
Allow the discharged vehicle to charge a few min-
utes before disconnecting the jump leads (shown in
figure 4).
•
Disconnect in the reverse order.
