The Honda Accord Euro

dual-chamber airbags are significantly more effective in helping minimize potential injuries caused by

impacts from larger vehicles.

Since offset frontal impacts can lead to a rebound in which there are strong lateral forces, the curtain

airbags are now deployed in such situations to protect occupants' upper bodies. The airbag modules are

mounted in the roof and are activated by a central sensor and sensors in the side of the Accord Euro that

determine the most appropriate timing and deployment rates in side or other impacts depending on
severity.
