For extended high speed riding:
DPR8EA-9 (NGK), X24EPR-U9 (ND)
2. Disconnect the spark plug caps.
3. Clean any dirt from around the spark plug base.
4. Remove and discard the spark plugs.
5. Make sure the new spark plug gap is 0.8 - 0.9 mm
(0.031 - 0.035 in) using the 0.8 mm feeler gauge. If
adjustment is necessary, bend the electrode carefully.
6. With the plug washers attached, thread the new spark
plugs in by hand to prevent cross threading.
7. Tighten the spark plugs 1/2 turn with a spark plug wrench
to compress the washer.
8. Reinstall the spark plug caps.
CAUTION:
•
The spark plug must be securely tightened. An improperly
tightened plug can become very hot and possibly damage
the engine.
•
Never use a spark plug with an improper heat range.
Severe engine damage could result.
•
When installing body parts, do not pinch any cables or
wires.
