This section of the manual is designed to help you if you are experiencing problems with the
HomeMix TT1000M mixing kit unit:
PRODUCTS DO NOT POWER UP
• check to ensure the mains plug is pushed firmly into the wall, and the other end is secure in the back
of the turntable and mixer.
• check to ensure that the power switch (8, Pg 8) on the rear of the Mix2 is on.
• check the fuse in the mains plug is OK.
NO SOUND IS COMING FROM THE TT1000M
• ensure that all necessary signal wires are connected properly between turntables, mixer and external
amplifier.
• ensure that the speaker wires are connected properly to the back of the respective amplifier, and
into the rear of the speaker cabinets.
• ensure the power switch (8, Pg 8) on the rear of the Mix2 is switched on.
• ensure that a phono or line input is playing into at least one channel.
• ensure that the channel input switch (3 or 8, Pg 7) corresponds to the music input source that you
are playing (phono or line)
• ensure that the channel volume slide (4 or 9, Pg 7) is pushed up and the cross fader is set to the
channel playing, or located centrally.
• ensure that the master output level control (15, Pg 7) is turned up.
• ensure that the speaker volume is turned up on respective amplifier.
SOUND FROM TT1000M IS DISTORTED
• check to ensure that all connecting signal cables are free from damage.
• check to ensure that no bare speaker wires are touching from the rear of the amplifier, or on entry
to the loudspeakers.
• check to ensure that the headshell is located properly on to the tonearm, and that the stylus is
fastened securely.
• check to ensure that excessive dust/fluff has not accumulated beneath the stylus.
TROUBLESHOOTING
RECORD (VINYL) DOES NOT PLAY
• ensure that the drive belt is connected between the turntable platter and motor drive shaft.
• ensure that you have pressed start/stop (6, Pg 7) and that the turntable is rotating.
• check to ensure that the headshell is located properly on to the tonearm, and that the stylus is
fastened securely.
